Bag Giveaway...Joei & Me: My Birthday Giveaway: Win a Coach Crossbody Bag fr...

I love bags… second to shoes. All my bags are given by my sponsors such as my OFW family. And I'm one of those lucky beneficiaries of them. But because I'm kind of very particular to quality and brand, it ends that I cannot buy one for me because I cannot afford to buy quality products. That's why I settle to wait for them giving me or join in contests especially in blog giveaway (which I'm fortunate to say, I've been lucky for the past 2 years) such us the Joei & Me: My Birthday Giveaway: Win a Coach Crossbody Bag fr…:

SM Kid's Sale Loot

I am always on a look out for sale items from SM Department store especially in the kids section. I dunno know why I don't go directly in the ladies department. Maybe and like all mothers out there the mother in us always rules and comes first! And I find their kids stuff really cute especially for the girls. #mamawonders #motheratheart Don't you think?

Just this Monday, I went to SM City Davao to check on sale items for my 4 year old daughter who I brought along with me. I really love the selection of kids clothing from SM. As in everything whether it's a sale item or not. When it's a sale item naman, I find it still very okay and no flaws like what we are always used to. You know, some minor or invisible defects or stain. Usually their items on sale are last sizes or pieces that they want to dispose already. Since I am already eyeing to get a blue and green colored blouses for her, check out what I got from the sale items...

Note: I really love the Just Tees collection for girls. It's hip, trendy and very fashionista!

 photo IMG_20150420_203911_zpsilie5akf.jpg
1) This shirt is on sale already @ Php125.00. But since they have
ongoing sales, this I got for Php100.00 na lang. Happy mama lang ang peg ko!

 photo IMG_20150420_203921_zpsca6uunne.jpg
2) It's not in my plan to get this dark peach statement shirt.
But I like the caption. Perfect for my daughter!
I got this on sale for around Php160.00.

 photo IMG_20150420_203942_zpskolxqwib.jpg
3) Still on high from our London trip, I got this for her.
Since there's no red bus design available, I settled for this blue one.
Still on sale @ around Php160.00.
(They have a San Francisco design in pink.
But it's too big already for her at size 14.)

Notice I haven't found a green blouse? Well, a second trip to SM calls for that, yahoo! They have a mall wide sale at the end of April in time for Labor Day (May 1). I only spent less than Php500.00 for all 3 items. Super not bad! Hurry and check out stuff not only for your kids but for you and your home as well. #ilovesm #iheartsm

Onitsuka Tiger: Behind the Fever

No! I do not mean the kind of sickness but a brand of footwear. Based on history, it started out making basketball shoes and is a registered trademark of Asics Corporation which I'm familiar with. Oh, well! I am not really a sneaker/rubber shoe fan though having one or two to own is enough to sport a casual and comfort feel and look. I do not have any idea when it comes to rubber shoes and sneakers except for those well-known brands like Nike, Addidas, Fila, Tretorn, Chucks from Converse to name a few. And with this particular Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger, I would never knew about it until our recent trip to London late of last year that my in-laws introduced it to us this cool brand of shoe. To think that its already making waves here in the Philippines with celebrities already wearing it. Why I didn't know?

 photo IMG_20150225_074119_zpsxhin6tqd.jpg
My one and only pair of Onitsuka Tiger. Let me tour you to every part of the shoe...

 photo IMG_20150225_074159_zpsyh8y0hb1.jpg
I love the color of my Onitsuka. It's very 'London' where I actually bought this.
Like the colors of the British flag.

 photo IMG_20150225_074238_zps7hyoob68.jpg
A closer look of its design. It's their signature style.
Pardon for the stain. How do I actually get rid off that stain?
Anyone? Please share...

 photo IMG_20150225_074221_zps5t4ki4ft.jpg
The bottom sole.

 photo IMG_20150225_074254_zpsktu7u2cn.jpg
The insole.

I'm so lucky to have bought a pair for around P1,300.00 Philippine peso. Wonder why it's so cheap? Because I bought it in one of the outlet stores located in Great Britain particularly in Ashford. If only I had the extra money, I would have brought two more for me and hoarded for my family. To think that the local price for that would cost around 5,000.00 - 6,000.00 pesos. Even if I sell it double the price here, it's still way cheaper. Don't you think?

The feel? Very comfortable and easy to walk in. With the color design that I chose, it can perfectly fit to any wardrobe color of my choice. But even if I knew about it, I might have difficulty owning one because of my personal reason: not practical spending for thousands of bucks. Browsing over to their website wants me to own one again.

Selling Online: Accessories thru Olx.ph

Girls never tire reinventing oneself by way of accessorizing, isn't it? You can be glamorous already with just a plain and ordinary shirt and a pair of jeans when worn with fashion neck pieces to boot. It really do wonders in your over-all get-up.

I have been fond of these accessories too. I can say I've hoarded too much of these to the extent that I wore it only at most thrice or even haven't worn some. I was so overwhelmed with the stylishness of the neck piece itself. I considered it as my precious collection over wearing it. But I am letting it go and decided it to be sold instead.

 photo PhotoGrid_1405475211308_zps21d698f7.jpg
Some of my precious neck piece collection.

It took time for me to decide to sell it because for one, I love the stylish designs that I got. They are really nice ensemble to a woman's wardrobe. But then, I'm giving injustice to these pieces because I'm hardly wearing it and just hide it in my closet. I know these are beautiful accessories that a girl must wear. It's all safely kept in my closet and sayang  lang na hindi sya na e-expose sa madlang eyes. So it should go (though I have kept some because it's hard to let go).

I posted it in my online site at Olx.ph. I know about this site because of some mommy bloggers I follow (SoMom) who advertise to this site and sell also their unused stuff which can still be used. So I gave in. Please do visit my online site cheekeegirl8 at Olx.ph. I'll be posting soon my other shoes I bought which I hardly used mentioning Charles and Keith brands. If you want to sell also your stuff, register to Olx.ph.

#Nationalflipflopsday 2014

I love shoes (open or close)! Second, would be clothes. I can live with it even if I don't have the latest bag or make-up that is currently in the market. But I'm not the type who hoards shoes like there's no tomorrow. How I wish I could but of course I have to prioritize the needs of my kids and of the household. But if there's one thing I want to splurge on given I have the money, it would be shoes and clothes.

Now, why am I talking on this? Because last Friday, 11th of April is the so called #nationalflipflopsday and Havaianas Philippines had a special treat to their customers.

 photo havaianasnationalflipflopsdayapr2014_zpsb740044e.jpg
Photo not mine.

Oh shucks, if only I knew it's just a 1-day sale, I should have borrowed money from the hubs. Good thing that the SIL offered to buy for the kids, I'm grateful already. Here are our cute finds.

 photo IMG_20140414_061545_zpsb47d12c4.jpg
This one is for my 1-year old bunso, Nique. It's marked 30% off and is priced at P577.50.
Just do the calculation for its regular price.

 photo IMG_20140414_061601_zpsdbdf1caf.jpg
This is for Mariella. At 20% off, it was now P756.00.

 photo IMG_20140414_061746_zps92252394.jpg
Just in time for summer huh! I can see them feet flopping away...

 photo IMG_20140414_061948_zps5e416b85.jpg

There are uber cute designs of flip flops to choose from. I can see myself envying the walls of the store at Havaianas, SM City Davao. If only I can have one. Okay, I have owned one way back as a gift also from the same SIL who bought these cuties for my kids. But it gave up on me for such a short time. I don't know what happened. The rubber soles of it are still as if it's still brand new. The problem was the  rubber straps gave way. I remembered back then it was just only like 700 to 800 pesos a pair for the adults. But now, it's around P1,500.00 a pair.

How about you? What's your newly purchased Havaianas like? #havaianasph

Looking good need not be expensive

My first OOTD for 2014. Recently, my hubby and I go crazy over "ukay-ukay" or thrift shopping. Every Sunday, the public market near our area is filled with vendors selling "ukay-ukay". The whole stretch of the street is lined up with glorious finds that I can't seem to get tired of, despite the dust, heat and people flocking as early as 6 or 7 in the morning. Because at the end of my "shopping" spree, I am very satisfied with the clothes I get plus it didn't hurt my pocket very badly. Not to mention that some items are in very good condition to the point that it looks like it was not yet used. A lot of finds I get still has tag on it. So here are my happy purchases:

 photo IMG_20140110_144206_zps658b3153.jpg
From top to bottom (excluding the Gap Kids shoes which I raved about it in here and my underwear of course!) are my thrift finds.

 photo IMG_20140110_144511_zps19b6537d.jpg
Top (inner blouse) is from Uniqlo which I bought at 25 pesos. My friend told me that its color is Radiant Orchid. Oh! well thoughts from a fashion forecaster.
The white knitted cardigan is at 50 pesos.

 photo IMG_20140110_144008_zps10188cfc.jpg
I don't usually buy jeans at an ukay-ukay because first I don't get to fit it.
But what I love is the brand most next is the fit because it is slim and it hugs my bulges.. ;))

 photo IMG_20140110_144331_zps6f82ce64.jpg
See?! That's why I didn't hesitate to get it. It's a Paul Smith and it cost me 150 pesos only.

I love buying in thrift shops. Aside of course that it's way cheaper than buying in malls, you know that the quality of the item will never get you wrong. Branded stuff which you have to shell a thousand bucks but in ukay-ukay will just be a chicken thing. Of course, you also have to scrutinize the item for some damages and wear and tear. Otherwise, leave it. I always look the armpit part, the collar, the sides, the hem, its stitches next of course to the brand.

These are just some of my precious finds. How about you? What's your treasured thrift shop find? Thank God it's Friday! Have a great and safe weekend ahead. #thriftshopping #ukayukay is LOVE.

Christmas Gift 2013: Mothercare

Now that I became a mom, I'm more tempted to buy stuff for my little ones rather than for myself. Even if I have to badly update my current wardrobe for a long time already, I always end up buying for my kids. Maybe, I've come to be a mature buyer and the mother in me exceeds more than anything else. When it comes to looking stuff for my kids my go to stores are in SM malls and Mothercare. I love the selection of clothes from SM not only for my girls but they have my sizes too. That's the advantage of having a petite frame. Last Tuesday, I visited the Ayala Abreeza mall branch of Mothercare and got this pair for my little girl. What I love about Mothercare is that their SALE is all year round. It doesn't need to have special events in order for this heavenly store to have discounts on their items.

 photo IMG_20131218_142850_zps87fc967e.jpg
A size 10 for my almost 3 year old daughter. Sorry for a dirty image.
Blame it on my cellphone camera's pixels and poor lighting.

 photo IMG_20131218_142900_zpsae26df64.jpg
I love the rugged style. It's like a converse. The soles are really good.

 photo IMG_20131218_142636_zps530e742b.jpg
You might wonder why a got a blue color for my daughter. Why not? It's the only stock left so I grabbed without second thoughts. You would really not pass this because it is just P300.00 pesos from the original price of P999.00 pesos.

 photo IMG_20131218_142613_zps12ed3049.jpg

I also got a 2-piece shorts for 5-7 year old boy for only P300.00 pesos from the original price of P799.00. Such a steal! #mothercare #smmalls #kidsfashion

Christmas Gift 2013: Big-sized watch

I'm so happy to share with you my first Christmas gift from a dear family member. I got what I want.
The photo speaks for itself.

 photo IMG_20131212_130217_zpsed8b6b89.jpg
So sorry for that blurry image. I love it!

It's so timely and fashionably classy. I love that this Aldo big-sized watch for women has 5 interchangeable straps in creamy white, tan, black, red and a flowery one that can fit to any color of your wardrobe. The gold tone color of the watch itself is not too flashy nor it is heavy. It became my everyday watch that looks fine in my office uniform since I got it a week ago. #christmasgift

What's Sale-ing at Taste Central

Th only downside I could think of of this "heavenly" online store, Taste Central, is it only caters and delivers customers from Manila area. How could you!? What about us living in other parts of the country? Actually, to my dismay, I emailed them. They said they're working on it and can only cater around Metro Manila only for the meantime. Well, at least they're working on it. It's still better than never ever considered it (hehehe). I can only just wish for now and make my list to name a few:

I still have a lot on my wish list but it would be unfair for those who will read this post of mine if I'll put here everything. It will be mind drooling. I'm starting to have a headache because of envy (aarrgghh!). By the way, they not only offer things for women. They are a lifestyle shop. Sigh! I wish a genie will appear and make me have my 3 wishes come true. First in line, that they could deliver nationwide. Second and the last one, is that I will have lots of money to purchase everything on my wish list. I believe in miracles.

Okay, I know you have also your own personal choices, so feast your eyes and minds on their on going sale here. They have new products available every Sunday, so better check out and be the first. But wait, in order to avail of their line of products, you have to become a member. Don't worry, it's for free!

In Search for a New Haircut and Style

I've been dreading to cut my hair. It's been 7 months since the last time I visited the hair salon and for my nails to get done too. Imagine how dry, flaky and out of body my hair is right now. After my two pregnancies, I have let my hair loose and grow on its own. Always my resort is to have it in ponytail and bun it. It's easier, polished and convenient for me having two kids totting around with me, it's quite impossible to have it styled like I want it to be. Styling was never an option for me. I have dry, coarse, wavy and thin hair. It's like in a malnourished state, isn't it? What makes it worst now is my scalp is flaking. I always reasoned that I'm so stressed up that's why dandruff is at its peak. On the second thought maybe it's his way of telling me that he needs an overhaul and pampering. My hair is in the verge of screaming. Tadaahh! Why not?

Okay, now I'm scouting for a haircut that suits my hair texture and that compliments my face shape. Then I encountered this on site...

 photo 550px-Choose-a-Hairstyle-Step-2_zpsf71a3d8d.jpg
Photo is not mine. See full details and further information here

Normally, when we choose #hairstyles we follow what cut we like. We also have to consider if it looks good on us or if our hair behaves with it otherwise it won't be like the way we want it. In choosing a cut or style, we have to take into consideration our lifestyle. A good, low maintenance hairstyle is more appropriate for me since I'm a working momma: always in a hurry every single day. A good cut or hairstyle also depends on the one who styles and cuts. He or she should have the expertise. A reliable, dependable and professional hairstylist does the trick too. For me, a good one is one who can suggest and help you out on which style looks good on you. It's not about the money or how famous your salon is. It's about the credibility and how you take good care of your clients. And as for me, whether you're a little expensive or not, as long as you are passionate about hairstyling and treatment and you know how to take good care of your clients, I would not hesitate to comeback to you or even recommend it to others. I rarely know of a salon that caters such specialty. Right now, I'm still in the trial stage since I'm not a regular salon person. I don't have regular haircuts or hair treatments so I wouldn't know which salon is proven tested when it comes to quality of service.

How about you? Which salon do you recommend and go to for hairstyling and pampering treatments?

In Style: Kids Fashion

Kids nowadays are way too far from our generation in terms of fashion. Back in the 80's, me and my siblings were okay whatever our mother dresses us. And whatever is given, we were delighted and very happy. You know for kids, gifts are ultimate happiness. Unlike before, today's selection of kids clothes are flooded with all sorts of style that even adults would love to have it too. And even little ones know what kind of clothes they want to wear for as young as 2 years old. Call it instant fashionistas! And because of so many advertisements bombarding television, radio and print, you can never blame your kids where they get these great fashion ideas. One advantage of having a girl kid is that you can dress them up and prettify them so easy. And seeing them so adorable makes me one proud and happy Momma!

Last Saturday, my entire family spent a good 'ol time because it was my father's birthday. We celebrated it at Ayala Abreeza Mall of Davao and ate lunch at Shakey's. We had a great time because the little ones (the cousins) were able to spend time playing around. They really had a good time and enjoyed like they owned the mall; running, walking, shrieking to their hearts delight as they roam the entire mall and played at the Atrium playground. It was such a joy seeing our kids so happy and free! Cousins Mariella and Danna were so happy to see each other and played together.

Danna (left): Top-Spoiled ; Pants -Spoiled
Mariella (right): Top-Mothercare; Shorts -Denim Co.
Mariella: Shoes -Mothercare boots
Danna: Shoes -Payless
(Pardon for the lost pair. This is the only picture that 's not blurred. The rest were vague to the eyes.)
The whole time they were hugging each other. They miss each other terribly.
..Until they were down and out.

My Favorite Things: My first Cath Kidston

Hey Guys! I'm sharing again my favorite item in my possessions. I'm not very much into bags but will choose to spend more on a shoe and clothes spree. But again I appreciate things that are presents and are given whole-heartedly (hehe). Again thanks to my sponsors and loved ones from abroad for always remembering me from afar. Anyway, here's my favorite bag given by my sister-in-law. When I received this (around 2-3 years ago), I'm clueless of the brand. Haven't been heard because I'm not so much of an OC fashionista (just slight enough to care for a presentable and comfy wardrobe that I think looks good on me). I love this bag! It is water resistant and it's easy to clean. Wiping clean wet cloth is all it takes to make this bag clean. That's it!

I love the polka dots in the red bag. It's a statement and since it has circles around,
I find this very lucky and to add up that its color is red. So much life in this bag!

I love that it can accommodate many things inside. Being a little bit OC, I can bring the entire things I needed.
I'm such a girl scout!
In my bag there's a lot of stuff. I feel that if I don't bring a particular thing, I feel lacking. Maybe next time I'll be sharing to you what's inside my heavy bag (As in super heavy! Even my husband complains and asks why my bag is too heavy, hehe..). I like bags that are big. Small bags aren't my thing.

I like Cath Kidston. It's a well- known brand in London and is originally from there. They offer a wide array of bags, shoes and clothings alike. I heard there's also a shop in Manila. They have very dainty and cute designs. To see more of their products, see and click their official website here.

Ultimate wishlists for 2013

Each and everyone of us has goals every new year. I do not have goal lists in particular but this year I feel that this is worth something looking forward too. Even if 3 months has passed already I still can feel that this year is something good for me. Good vibes, positivity mode: on! Well, I have so many things I wanna have and to achieve may it be materially, spiritually, emotionally and physically (literally!) For one, I already enrolled my self in Zumba classes which I see myself to be healthy this year to start off everything. Because being able to move and actively participate in such health and wellness program promotes positive vibes and a good aura on oneself and to the people around. I believe being healthy in mind, body and spirit makes one a happy person. Would you agree?

So, here's my ultimate wishlists/ goals for year 2013. I am listing 10 of my possible and make-it-happen things. I still have more than 10 but those are still impossible to achieve for now unless I make a bet in lotto and win the jackpot. So here it goes:

1. Good health: for myself, my family and loved ones. Staying fit and healthy. Hitting it with Zumba! A living proof below.

Boring fashion

After having 2 pregnancies in a span of 3 years, my clothes of ages ago somehow needs to retire by now. I have this tendency of having a hard time separating from my favorite clothes that even if it doesn't fit or look good on me anymore, I still keep it hoping that one day I can wear it. I have to be realistic. I have a petite body frame. Maybe that's why even if my body changes form, I seem to have it in mind that I can still fit in into my existing clothes because of my small body frame. My body "beautiful" before (as if I have that sexy body huh?!) is no longer the way it is. Aside from the fact that clothes now are expensive for me in my case (having 2 kids already and a big fraction of my salary goes to their daily necessities and groceries at home), buying for myself especially basic clothing takes a back seat. My recent hauls would be that of my maternity clothes. I would still be wearing it because also of the fad that loose clothings are in fashion. But I think it don't look good on me anymore. I have a lot of clothes that dated back my college years and still in good shape and condition. I'm planning to sell it in garage sale or in online but my time doesn't permit me to focus on it. Some I already gave because it takes a lot of space in my closet. I'm wondering where can I have this sold in a faster and easier way. I'm planning also to buy new set of clothes for me with the proceeds I will raise on this.

It is also important that one knows how to identify one's body shape and know what style that fits on a certain body frame. I'm poor on this. I told myself that if I have a few extra pesos to spend for a "stylista", I will go for it. But I think it would be too luxurious to do it. I just have to know what's good on me and which I am comfortable wearing without spending a lot. I tried buying myself second-hand finds but unfortunately, mostly I ended up buying impulsively without thinking does it really look good on me. Well, right now I'm exposing my self to fashion blogs to know what's in and what's not? I'm in fashion dilemma right now. I still want to look good despite having children and despite the imperfect body form.

Shoes!!

Got myself an all-in-one pair of shoe. I would say that it's a multi-purpose shoe because it can be worn in an all-day, all-night event. Good for office/casual/formal occasion pumps from Mendrez. They are on sale! Got this one on sale. Happy to have bought this.

Love the color that is Camel! It is available also in black. But don't have size 7 available at the time I bought this.

Love that its heels are in this style. It's not tiring on the heels even if you go around all day. I tried running wearing this by the way, hehehe..

Love that it's from Mendrez! I love their line of shoes. Check out their on going sale.

Love that its front is round like. It does not hurt any part of my toes especially the pinky one.

Love the design and texture of this shoe. It's easy to clean.

Love that its bottom is rubber. It does not skid

SnR finds

Hello! I'm like was lost and then resurrected all of a sudden. I have no plans of reviving my blog just yet but I'm just excited to...
